This morning, ABC announced the 4th season contestant for Dancing With The Stars . I must say, this is going to be a very fun season. Here they are:
Laila Ali – Yes, Muhammad Ali’s daughter, the undefeated boxer. I absolutely love it when elite female athletes get all dolled up, and her footwork should be wonderful.
Billy Ray Cyrus – Yes! Automatically my daughter’s favorite. I would imagine all of Hannah Montana’s fans will be rooting for him. And he’ll give me all kinds of new material for Follow The Mullet.
Clyde Drexler – OMG. The man was grace in action on the court. He could be this year’s Emmit.
Joey Fatone – Eh. Don’t know much about him. He was in Big,Fat,Greek Wedding, so that’s a plus.
Shandi Finnessey – Anyone named after a Kiss song can’t be bad. Lingo!
Leeza Gibbins – Still beautiful.
Heather Mills – They’re going to play up the amputee angle. OK, I can see that. I can see it now on “results show”: Special Musical Guest, Paul McCartney.
Apolo Anto Ohno – This one intrigues me. He’s a star because the media wanted to make him a star. Who watches his sport? (roller derby on ice). But he does give the show an Asian face, and I guess he’s still considered “cool”
Vincent Pastore – Y’all will have to fill me in on this one. I’ve never seen the Sopranos.
Paulina Porizkova – This lady once played heavily on my mind. We’ll see if she can dance.
Ian Ziering – Drawing a blank. He will be dancing with Cheryl, though. My favorite “pro” from last year.
I can’t wait for this coming season! DWTS and NASCAR, what a spring!

Ian Ziering was Steve on Beverly Hills 90210 if memory serves correctly.

Yep, Ivy is right about Ian Ziering. He played Steve Sanders.
Joey Fatone was in N*SYNC or Backstreet Boys, one of the two. I’m personally glad I can’t remember which off the top of my head.

Vincent Pastore was also on last season’s “Celebrity Fit Club”. You can check the VH1 website to see a picture.

Apollo?
I’ve never seen this show.
Is it good?

I think Heather Mills will be voted off the first week. I could care less that she’s got one leg, but, Americans love them some Paul McCartney and I think lots of people will not be for her cause of how she’s going after Paul’s moolah. Plus she has the personality of a turd in a punchbowl.

newscoma, DWTS is probably the single most addictive non-dramatic show on TV today (right behind would be “Deal or No Deal”) Being the manly man that I am, I balked at first, but started watching last year to see how well Sara Evans would do. After the first show, I was hooked. Tom Bergeron is much better on this show than his other ABC gig (and I like him there, too). The judges, especially Bruno, are a hoot.
