If Only It Had Been Viagra…

My wife told me something coming home from the hockey game Saturday night, and I didn’t believe her.  I had to check it out for myself because sometimes you just can’t believe restroom advertising.  But it’s true.

Coming to the Wildhorse Saloon March 4th:

Foreigner – Feels Like The First Time Tour

Presented by AARP.

Coming soon: Bruce Springsteen – I’m On Fire Again Tour, presented by Preparation H.

OK, I made that one up.  Can y’all think of any more geriatric rock tour sponsors?

Dang, now I feel really really really old.

If Lou Gramm isn’t on that tour, it wouldn’t be worth it to me. Lou Gramm is one of the best vocalists evah!

Today’s stupid but true story. When Lou Gramm was still in Rochester, NY in a band called the Black Sheep (1974ish) — my brother was also in a band touring around New York. My bro not only got to open for Lou’s band (which was the one he left to form Foreigner), but also got to play rhythm guitar for a set.

Oh WOW, bridgett…that’s cool! About 15 years ago, I saw Foreigner play Starwood, and Lou was still with them. I sat there in awe of his voice. He truly is amazing. I’d love to see him again sometime.

I guess he’s over his brain tumor and all of the side effects that came along with it. I was so sad when I saw him on VH-1 Behind the Music years ago.

Unfortunatly Lou is still suffering the effects of the brain tumor, although he still tours his voice never recovered. Most reviews I’ve read point out that he is looking better but he no longer has the ability to hit the high notes and that the band has dropped the key of many of the “Hits” so he can come close to singing them. It’s very sad, he was one of the best.
This new Foreigner line up is susposed to be awsome, the singer is young and full of energy and the drummer is Jason Bonnam (Sp?) son of legendary Led Zepplin Drummer John Bonnam.

Last year Dennis DeYoung’s solo tour was presented by Clarol hair care products,
