I’ve got just a few things to let you know about that are coming up. I should have mentioned this sooner, but X-Alt is playing the TBG coffeehouse in Ashland City this coming Saturday at 8 pm. John H, if he can come, will be happy – they’ve given me several more songs to sing. I’d be more than pleased if some of y’all from the Nashville blogging community could come out. I can promise you a great show, if anything. This show still has the soul stuff, but we’re going to rock it up, too.
TBG is located at 116 North Main Street in Ashland Ciy, just across from the courthouse. Or you can just ask Hutchmo for directions.
Tater Days, I should say Tater Day, is April 2nd in Benton Kentucky. Yes, it’s a Monday. They close the whole town down and have a celebration. And we get to be part of it this year. We’ve been looking forward to this one for a long time. It’s going to be a heck of a story for a blog post, if anything.
There’s one more thing, which I can’t say much about; I just ask those of y’all who pray to keep us in yours. Our band, as it stands currently, for all of our great successes, was nevertheless formed in the midst of great tumult and pain. We are very close as a result of it, and very passionate because of it. Yet, as I have written about before, there is a wound that lies deep within the “being” that is our band. God may have great things planned for us, but I truly believe we must heal this wound before we can move on. Truly move on.
I have learned that an overture has been made that might give us a chance to get that healing. Things are very preliminary, so I can’t say much. And the prospect is much scarier than stepping into prison. Yet, I believe it is a journey we need to make, in order to make the real journey God has in mind for us. Y’all just pray that we can find reconcilliation with those who have hurt us greatly, and that we have the courage to walk down that road, should it come to it.
Finally, non-band related. My kids are ready to graduate from manners class! There’s going to be a fashion show at Dillard’s Green Hills this Saturday (I’ll get back to you on the time). I’m told my son is quite handsome in his suit, and, of course, my daughter is gorgeous in her Easter dress. If y’all can’t make it to Dillard’s Saturday, I’ll try to post lots of pictures.

I hope you guys work your issue out. It’s hard, these wounds, and they can rip apart foundations of very good things. I wish I could get to Benton to see you but I’ll probably just get to come to the Strawberry Festival (is that gig still on?)
Thinking fond thoughts of you and sending you and your family many hugs.
Good luck on your inner journey with the band.
